The Opening ceremony of Lifelong Learning Week 2021 (06/10/2021, 17:43)

On the morning of October 1st, the Department of Education and Training and the Association for Promoting Education of Dak Lak Province collaborated on the opening ceremony of Lifelong Learning Week 2021 with the theme "Digital transformation to successfully develop a new learning society”. The opening ceremony was held at the office of the Department of Education and Training and connected online with 15 localities in the Province.

 
Delegates send messages to promote Lifelong Learning Week 2021

Lifelong Learning Week 2021 will take place from October 1st through 7th. It aims to encourage people to learn; to help raise their awareness of the role of digital transformation for lifelong learning; and to encourage authorities, sectors, organizations, agencies, and social forces to take advantage of technology platforms to diversify channels and tools for lifelong learning, and meet the needs of people to learn in the context of the complicated development of the COVID-19 epidemic.

 
The opening ceremony connects online with 15 localities in Dak Lak Province.

During Lifelong Learning Week 2021, many activities will take place such as promoting the application of digital technology for teaching and learning activities and library activities at educational institutions; organizing free or low-fee online classes and courses for children and adults that introduce suitable learning contents, lessons, and materials through online softwares; and organizing online learning clubs, forums, and contests for people to participate in useful learning and exchange activities thereby strengthening communication among the people and ensuring mental and physical health of people in the context that cultural, artistic, sports, and outdoor activities are restricted due to the COVID-19 epidemic.

At the opening ceremony Mr. Do Tuong Hiep, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak Province, launched Lifelong Learning Week in the Province. He also requested that all authorities, sectors, and localities continue to carry out the following activities. Propagandizing activities are promoted and innovated in mass media. Digital technology is applied more for teaching and learning activities. Educational institutions are supported and sponsored to organize courses on training skills in searching and safely and effectively using information on the internet. Forums and contests on learning citizens and global citizens are organized to help students and people learn about citizens’ essential skills and competencies in the era of digitalization and globalization. Reading activities are promoted. Reading models are carried out. Intergenerational knowledge is shared. Books, paper documents, and digital documents are rotated.
