Krong Ana District launches the movement 'Tet planting trees, forever grateful to Uncle Ho' in 2024 (28/05/2024, 11:01)

On May 17th, the People's Committee of Krong Ana district organized the launching ceremony 'Tet planting trees, forever grateful to Uncle Ho' on the occasion of commemorating the 134th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2024) and enhancing forest protection and development activities in 2024.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Hoang Minh Giam - Deputy Chairman of the People's Committee of the district proposed that all levels, branches, localities, and enterprises in the district continue to perform well in propaganda, mobilization, organization, and individual dissemination of the movements and competitions 'Everyone plants trees, every family plants trees', and effectively implement the district's forest planting and afforestation plan for 2024. Tree planting must conform to the planning, be associated with building new rural areas, civilized urban areas, be linked with the agricultural sector structure, quickly transform crop structure to improve economic efficiency; do well in environmental sanitation to improve the ecological environment, make the environmental landscape increasingly green, clean, and beautiful.

It is known that in recent years, agencies, units, and localities in Krong Ana district have actively responded to and implemented tree planting plans, and protected the ecological environment. The movement has developed quite strongly in the district, becoming a cultural beauty, bringing great benefits in all aspects of people's economic development, contributing to restructuring crops to achieve economic and social efficiency. In 2023, throughout Krong Ana district, 87.6 hectares of production forests and 8,304 landscape scattered trees were planted. Immediately after the launching ceremony, delegates along with youth union members and people organized the planting of 200 black star trees at the stadium and in villages, hamlets, and schools in Ea Bong commune.
