On the morning of September 30, the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee held the first congress of the provincial party for the term 2025 - 2030.

This is a politically significant event, marking the first congress after the merger of Dak Lak and Phu Yen provinces, with a new development space, scale, stature, and a high level of responsibility in the new era of prosperous development.

The congress was honored to receive congratulatory flower baskets from the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and from General Secretary To Lam; President Luong Cuong; Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man; Permanent Secretary of the Party Central Committee Tran Cam Tu, along with other leaders of the Party and State, and representatives from central agencies.

Comrade Nguyen Van Nen - Member of the Politburo and Permanent Secretary of the XIV Party Congress Document Subcommittee attended and directed the congress.

Provincial delegates attending the congress included: Nguyen Dinh Trung - Member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Cao Thi Hoa An - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Ta Anh Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Huynh Thi Chien Hoa - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Do Huu Huy - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; along with Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, Labor Heroes; former leaders of the two provinces of Dak Lak and Phu Yen through various periods; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, members of the Provincial Party Committee for the term 2020-2025; and 449 official delegates representing over 137,000 party members throughout the provincial party.

Comrade Nguyen Dinh Trung - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, delivered the opening speech at the Congress.   

The first Provincial Party Congress for the term 2025 - 2030 has the theme "Promoting the strength of unity, building a clean and strong Party and political system, operating effectively and efficiently; ensuring national defense and security; determined to successfully achieve the goals and tasks by 2030; building Dak Lak province to develop quickly, sustainably, civilized, and with identity." 

In his opening speech, Comrade Nguyen Dinh Trung highlighted that over the past five years, despite facing challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic, global economic fluctuations, natural disasters, and many difficulties, the Party Committee, government, and people of all ethnic groups in the province have made efforts to overcome hardships, essentially completing key tasks and achieving significant accomplishments. Notably, the province has completed the arrangement and merger of administrative units at all levels, officially operating the two-tier local government model from July 1, 2025, marking a breakthrough in organizational structure, shifting from passive management to proactive service for the people. 

Comrade Cao Thi Hoa An – Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, spoke at the Congress.   

These achievements are the result of the intellect, effort, unity, consensus, and determination of the entire Party, people, and military, reflecting a strong belief in the Party's leadership, and serve as an important foundation for the province's robust development in the next phase. 

Entering the term 2025 - 2030, Đắk Lắk province stands before unprecedented opportunities and prospects, with an expanded administrative-economic space, synchronously connecting coastal, highland, and border areas. With a new position and potential, the Party Committee, government, military, and people of all ethnic groups in the province will continue to nurture revolutionary traditions and patriotism, cherish and preserve the achievements that previous generations have painstakingly built, unite, and work together to successfully achieve the goals and tasks by 2030, building Đắk Lắk province to develop quickly, sustainably, civilized, and with identity, contributing appropriately to the cause of building and protecting the socialist Vietnam. 

With the action motto "Unity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development", the first Provincial Party Congress for the term 2025-2030 has very important tasks, not only summarizing the implementation of the Resolution of the 2020 - 2025 term but also drawing lessons learned, and determining the goals, directions, key tasks, and breakthrough solutions for the term 2025 - 2030, creating a solid foundation to realize the aspirations of the Party Committee, government, and people of all ethnic groups in the province. The Congress will discuss and contribute opinions to the documents presented at the 14th Party Congress, reflecting the political responsibility of the provincial Party Committee towards the country's development. 

With the important requirements of the Congress, Comrade Nguyễn Đình Trung urged the delegates attending the Congress to promote democracy, unity, intellect, raise awareness and sense of responsibility, participate in discussions, and contribute quality and effective opinions, contributing to the success of the Congress.

Within the framework of the official program on the morning of September 30, the Congress focused on reviewing the implementation of the Resolution of the 2020–2025 Provincial Party Congress; presenting the self-assessment report on the leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020–2025 term; and discussing and contributing opinions to the draft documents of the Provincial Party Committee as well as the documents of the 14th National Party Congress.

Prior to the opening session, a special cultural program was held to celebrate the Congress, featuring performances honoring the glorious Party, beloved President Ho Chi Minh, the love for the homeland and the nation, and the heroic revolutionary traditions of the people of all ethnic groups in Dak Lak province.
