The Standing Committee of the District Party Committee recently organized the 17th Expanded Party Committee Meeting of Cu M’gar District to evaluate the leadership and implementation of tasks in 2023 and deploy tasks for 2024.

In 2023, the Party Committee of Cu M’gar District focused on leading and directing the implementation of key tasks related to economic, cultural, social development, national defense, security, Party building, and the political system. Consequently, 21 out of 22 targets were achieved or exceeded. The economy maintained stability and development, shifting towards increasing the proportion of industrial, small-scale industrial, and commercial service sectors while gradually reducing the agricultural production sector.

The total value of the main product production reached nearly 15,000 billion VND, equivalent to 103.4%; the average value of production per person reached an estimated 108.5 million VND; total social investment capital mobilized exceeded 8,000 billion VND, reaching 100.04%; the total balanced state budget revenue in the district was estimated to exceed 283 billion VND, equal to 139.5% of the provincial budget allocation and 124.2% of the district budget allocation; the overall participation rate in universal health insurance reached 88.98%.

People’s lives were stable, and social security policies were fully and timely implemented. Health care and people’s health were well attended to and executed. Basic political security and social order were stable. Party building and the consolidation of the political system were effectively implemented, with 180 new party members admitted during the year, achieving 100% of the planned target. The rate of party members participating in the Resolution study reached 98%.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Tran Dinh Nhuan, Secretary of the District Party Committee, demanded that Party committees, agencies, and units vigorously carry out tasks from now until the end of the year, striving to complete the goals and targets set for 2024. He emphasized the need to prepare well for organizing joyful activities during the Lunar New Year, especially for caring and implementing social security work. Full and timely implementation of the policy regime for contributors, especially for the poor, ethnic minorities, remote and mountainous areas, was stressed to ensure that people welcome the Lunar New Year 2024 peacefully and happily.

The conference announced the Decision on the supplementary appointment of Members of the Party Committee of Cu M’gar District Party Committee for the term 2020 – 2025 for Comrade Tran Minh Thanh, Deputy Head of the Propaganda Committee of the District Party Committee, and Comrade Tran Thi Hai Yen, Secretary of the Party Committee of Quang Phu Town, Cu M’gar District.
