On February 2, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Dak Lak Province, Nguyen Thuy Phuong Hieu, announced that during the 5-day Tet holiday from January 28 to February 1, 2025 (corresponding to the 29th day of the last lunar month of the Year of the Dragon 2024 until the 4th day of the lunar New Year - the Year of the Snake 2025), the total number of tourists and revenue from tourism activities in the area saw a significant increase compared to the previous year.

Visitors participate in distinctive cultural activities at Buon Ma Thuot Book Coffee Street.
Specifically, Dak Lak Province welcomed a total of approximately 180,000 tourists, representing an increase of 24.14% compared to the same period last year. Among these, domestic visitors were estimated at 177,000, up 23.71% year-on-year; while international visitors reached around 3,000, marking a significant rise of 55.84% compared to the same timeframe. The average room occupancy rate was estimated at 53%.
Total revenue from tourism across the province during the Lunar New Year 2025 was projected to reach 60 billion VND, an increase of 33% over the previous year.
In preparation for the Lunar New Year 2025, the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Dak Lak organized a delegation to inspect tourism sites, ensuring appropriate conditions for the holiday and reviewing existing tourism programs. The aim was to prepare the best possible conditions to serve tourists while ensuring their safety and security.
Tourism enterprises in the province issued plans for organizing various tourist services to welcome visitors during the holiday, building frameworks for supporting and coordinating with tourism sites to effectively host guests during the Lunar New Year 2025 in Dak Lak.

The eco-tourism community of Buon Ko Tam attracted a large number of visitors for exploration and leisure activities.
Entities strictly adhered to regulations regarding the registration and display of entrance fees, parking fees, and service prices, enabling tourists to make informed choices and ensuring compliance with the displayed pricing at their respective sites. Efforts were made to maintain environmental hygiene both inside and outside the tourist attractions, ensuring security, order, fire safety, and food safety.
There were no production or trading of low-quality foodstuffs, the use of hazardous coloring agents, or additives outside the approved list by the Ministry of Health for food preparation. Daily food samples were regularly stored for precautionary measures, providing a prompt response in case of any abnormalities and facilitating inspections by regulatory authorities.
Efforts were also directed towards reorganizing and reconfiguring areas for sightseeing, parking, souvenir sales, entertainment programs, and cultural activities, ensuring convenience and absolute safety for visitors.
At leisure and sightseeing points, particularly those near rivers, lakes, and waterfalls, organizations prepared appropriate equipment and rescue personnel, collaborating with local health authorities to ensure staff availability around the clock during the holiday, thus securing the safety of both tourists and local residents.

Many community-based ecotourism sites in Dak Lak province attract a large number of visitors from both within and outside the province for sightseeing.
Consequently, during the Lunar New Year 2025, all leisure and sightseeing areas in the province operated with complete safety. The welcoming attitude and service quality of staff, especially tour guides and drivers involved in direct tourist services, left a positive impression on visitors. Enterprises and organizations in the tourism and service sectors complied with regulations on pricing registration and displayed ticket and service fees transparently, enabling tourists to make informed choices while ensuring environmental hygiene at their sites.
