Save the Children Organization Donates Over 2.5 Billion VND for Emergency Relief to Flood-Affected Children and Residents in Dak Lak Province (22/11/2025, 16:22)

On November 21, Save the Children International (SCI) – the representative office in Vietnam, carried out an emergency relief operation providing essential supplies to children and families affected by flooding in Dak Lak Province. 

SCI organization donated goods to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Lak Province.  

Accordingly, the organization provided emergency supplies totaling 2.5 billion VND, which included essential items such as bottled drinking water, fresh milk, instant sausages, and biscuits.

On the same day, Save the Children dispatched a team of five members led by Mr. Vuong Dinh Giap – the director, to coordinate the transportation of goods and deliver them directly to the residents in need on November 21, 2025.

 

In addition, Save the Children also submitted a request to the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention – Ministry of Agriculture and Environment to expedite the reception and distribution of goods to children and residents in need as quickly as possible.

It is known that SCI is currently collaborating with the Department of Health of the province to implement the project "Enhancing Capacity and Promoting Child Protection Actions in Coffee Production," which is set to run until June 2026. The project has a budget of 21 billion VND (nearly 883,298 USD) approved by the provincial People's Committee in Decision No. 1954/QD-UBND dated October 5, 2023, and adjusted in Decision No. 868/QD-UBND dated April 15, 2025, and 0461/QD-UBND dated July 15, 2025.
