On the morning of March 8^th, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Dak Lak Province held a regular conference of February 2022 to evaluate the performance of tasks in February and start implementing key tasks in March 2022.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Party Committee of Dak Lak Province, chaired the conference. Participants in the conference included members of the Standing Committee and leaders of the departments and agencies.

The report at the conference said that in February 2022, because of complicated developments of the COVID-19 epidemic, the Province continued to seriously implement COVID-19 prevention and control and take safe and flexible measures that are suitable with the socio-economic development of the Province.

The total state budget revenue reached more than 377 billion VND in February and reached 1,530 billion VND in the first 2 months of 2022, equaling 18.66% of the Province’s plan. Tourism revenue in February was estimated to reach 85.5 billion VND, increasing by 14.2 times compared to the previous month. The tourism industry was estimated to welcome about 197,800 tourist arrivals.

Through February 28^th 2022, 50.173 billion VND out of 2,052 billion VND of public investment were disbursed, reaching 2.4% of the plan.

In February, 76 new private enterprises registered for establishment with a total registered capital of 589.6 billion VND, decreasing by 34 enterprises compared to January 2022. With regard to investment promotion and external relations, 2 applications for decision on investment policy with a total investment capital of 1,167 billion VND were received.

The Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Dak Lak Province requested that in March 2022, departments and agencies focus resources on the COVID-19 prevention and control and effectively ensure political security, order and security, and border security. With regard to socio-economic development, it is necessary to focus on implementing the Action Plan to implement Resolution No. 01/NQ-CP of the Government, Resolution 10-NQ/TU of the Party Committee of Dak Lak Province and Resolution No. 11/NQ-CP of the Government on the socio-economic development and recovery program.

Concluding the conference, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung requested that the departments, agencies and localities focus on measures for state budget collection and the disbursement of public investment capital as well as focus on implementing the Action Plan to implement Resolution No. 01/NQ-CP of the Government.

The People's Committee of Dak Lak Province was requested to concretize the proposal of the Central Government and consult with ministries and sectors in order to perfect mechanisms and policies and improve the investment environment. In March 2022, the People's Committee of Dak Lak Province needs to advise organizing a conference on forest management and protection and public investment and review solar power projects with a capacity of less than 1MW.

With regard to COVID-19 prevention and control, sectors and localities need to focus on propagating new measures for COVID-19 prevention to people, strengthen vaccine coverage for people, apply technology in the treatment of COVID-19 at home, and manage rapid test kits.

With regard to Party building, the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee's Organization Commission was requested to advise on the mobilization and rotation of cadres, and review and supplement the planning of leaders and managers for the 2021-2026 tenure.

At the conference, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Dak Lak Province discussed the COVID-19 prevention and control in the new situation, request the Prime Minister to approve the poor districts in the 2021-2025 period of Dak Lak Province, supplement the budget with targets in 2022 for districts, town and city, and report on the development of a pilot scheme on the specific mechanisms and policies for the construction and development of Buon Ma Thuot City to 2030, with a vision to 2045.
